October November is festival time in India. And we have to make some sweets to celebrate the joyous occasions. Here is a very easy and quick recipe of steamed or bhapa sandesh.

A delicious steamed sandesh made in microwave. I made it with date palm jaggery or khajur gur you can make it with sugar too.

If you don’t have date palm jaggery follow the recipe with sugar. You can find it at the end of jaggery recipe.

Try it and enjoy the heavenly taste. We need only two ingredients and little cardamom powder.

Here are two more bhapa or steamed sandesh with mango and orange flavour.

Recipe is very easy and quick. You can make a delectable sweet in a few minutes and only with 3 ingredients. Just mash everything well and microwave for 3-4 minutes. Let it cool down completely and refrigerate for half to one hour. Now demould and slice. If you don’t have microwave just steam the sandesh in pressure cooker or open pot for 20 minutes. Colour of the sandesh depends on the colour of jaggery you are using. I have shared pictures made from different jaggery. Used dark colour nolen gur or date palm jaggery in above pictures. Recently made with light colored jaggery, you can see the difference in pictures below. But taste will be remain same. So don’t worry about colour.

Have never tried steaming sandesh in the microwave oven. A quick and easy recipe and what is really good is that no refined sugar is used. Will be trying out this recipe soon.

Recipe Developer Behind The Blog

Hello there!

I am Sujata Roy. A homemaker, a blogger, a passionate cook, a recipe developer, a home baker, and lastly a foodie.

Experimenting in the kitchen is what I love and enjoy doing the most. Specially experimenting with vegetarian dishes and egg-less cakes and cookies is what interests me more.

My loved ones are fond of vegetarian cuisines, so I have them in my mind whenever I dish out a new recipe.

However, I do not limit my experimental cooking to vegetarian recipes only, non-vegetarian recipe ideas are also dished out. And you can also get many healthy recipes in this blog, including different types of baking ideas with healthy ingredients. So enjoy healthy foods without compromising on taste.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Happy Cooking!
