Turmeric Shot With Tulsi Or Holy Basil

11/01/2017 by Sujata Roy 39 Comments

Turmeric shot with Tulsi or Holy Basil.

A healthy way to start your day.

Turmeric is known for it’s healing compounds curcumin. Ginger is high in gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. We all know about turmeric milk. Check out the benefits of turmeric milk here. But here is a recipe for vegan people.

Tulsi or Holy Basil is well known for it’s healing properties . And lemon have strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and very effective remedy for weight loss.

Honey helps to prevent heart disease and cancer. And sea salt contains essential minerals and nutrients.

And one of its functions is detoxification, helping to clear toxins from your blood.

Turmeric, the main spice in curry, is arguably the most powerful herb on the planet at fighting and potentially reversing disease.

When examining the research, turmeric benefits go beyond that of these 10 drugs:

Anti-inflammatory drugs

Anti-depressants (Prozac)

Chemotherapy

Anti-coagulants (Aspirin)

Pain killers

Diabetes drugs (Metformin)

Arthritis medications

Inflammatory bowel disease drugs

Cholesterol drugs (Lipitor)

Steroids.

Better than medicines to slow and prevent blood clotting.

Turmeric, on the other hand, has relatively no known side effects unless taken in extremely excessive amounts.

Its anti depressants and anti inflammatory .

Arguably, the most powerful aspect of curcumin is its ability to control inflammation.

Diseases today such as cancer, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, high cholesterol and chronic pain can be the result of inflammation.

For it’s powerful anti inflammatory and pain reducing characteristics its used to cure arthritis.

Turmeric helps in lowering blood sugar and reversing insulin resistance there’s arguably no better natural treatment than adding turmeric in your diet.

Its used in gastrointestinal treatment. Because of it’s anti-inflammatory properties turmeric helps to heal the gut and support the growth of good bacteria (probiotics).

Its regulate cholesterol, one of the reason for heart disease.

Turmeric works as a painkiller too. One of the most widely accepted properties is it’s ability to manage pain.

Turmeric benefits the many conditions normally treated by corticosteroids such as psoriasis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma and chronic pain.

Diseases today such as cancer, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, high cholesterol and chronic pain can be the result of inflammation. Turmeric’s key to disease reversal may be its ability to keep inflammation at bay.

A number of laboratory studies on cancer cells have shown that curcumin does have anticancer effects. It seems to be able to kill cancer cells and prevent more from growing.

A 2007 American study that combined curcumin with chemotherapy to treat bowel cancer cells in a laboratory showed that the combined treatment killed more cancer cells than the chemotherapy alone.

Turmeric works incredibly well to help naturally treat cancer and is especially effective at treating breast cancer, colon cancer and skin cancer.

For those of you who aren’t sick, taking turmeric will serve you well as a preventative measure.

Holy basil or tulsi is one of the best medicinal herb. Tulsi plant is one of the best anti viral herbs of Ayurveda. Its very effective in treatment of respiratory disorders, fever asthma, lung disorders, heart disease stress and many more.

I have already shared a drink with Tulsi or Holy Bsil.

Watermelon cooler with tulsi and Aloevera

Lemon is well known for it’s weight loss aid because it’s juice is digestive and liver cleanser.

Lemon contains strong antibacterial, antiviral and immune boosting power.

Recipe

Turmeric – 4 inch piece

Ginger – 2 inch piece

Tulsi or Holy Basil – 14 – 15 leaves

Lemon – 1

Sea salt – 1/2 teaspoon

Honey to taste

Black pepper powder to taste

Water – 1/2 cup

Method

Peel the turmeric and ginger. Clean and wash turmeric, tulsi leaves and ginger.

Chop the ginger and turmeric.

Blend or grind tulsi, turmeric and ginger with water. You can add 2 – 3 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel too. I didn’t.

Strain the mixture. Add lemon juice and sea salt.

Pour 1/4 cup in a glass. Fill the glass with water or coconut water. Add honey according to your taste.

Or add little more sea salt and black pepper powder. You can add more lemon juice if require.

Take it daily in the morning with breakfast or before breakfast. You can refrigerate the mixture for 2 – 3 days. But best if make it fresh.

Stay healthy stay happy!!
