Raw/Green Mango Lassi

Raw mango or green mango lassi. A very refreshing and delectable drink to beat the heat.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 Cup Raw mango Peeled and chopped
  • 1&1/2 Cup Curd or yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Tsp Grated ginger
  • 1-2 Tbsp Mint leaves Black salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Black salt
  • 2 Tsp Sugar Or to taste
  • 1 Tsp Jal jeera powder
  • Ice cubes As required

Instructions
 

  • Peel and chop the mango into small pieces. Rinse the mango pieces.
  • In a blender jar add mango pieces, ginger, mint leaves, black or pink salt, sugar, jal jeera powder, ice cubes and 1/2 cup water.
  • After blending, taste and add salt or little more sugar if required and blend again. You can also add 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder if you want. Blend everything well.
  • You can grind the mango pieces first for easy blending. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Pour the mixture into the glass. You can add some ice cubes in the glass before pouring lassi. I didn’t.
  • Garnish with raw mango pieces and mint leaves. You can sprinkle little roasted cumin powder over the lassi. Serve chilled.

Notes

1. You can sprinkle little roasted cumin powder over the lassi if you want.
2. Use salt and sugar according to your taste.
3. A small piece of green chilli can be used to give a spicy kick to the lassi.
4. If you like your lassi thick and creamy don’t use water while blending. Add salt accordingly. Use only 1/4 teaspoon Black salt. Taste after blending, add more salt if required.
5. You can also make this lassi as chhach or buttermilk. Just add more water with roasted cumin powder and skip sugar.
