Servings 8 Large laddu

Equipment

  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Mixer grinder
  • 2 Plate

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Paneer or cottage cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Khoya /mawa or dried milk
  • 1/4 Cup Desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 Cup Almond
  • 1/4 Cup Mixed seeds
  • 1/4 Cup Sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Stevia powder
  • 3/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp Dry date powder

Instructions

  • Dry roast sesame seeds, almond, and mixed seeds separately. Dry roast till fragrant. Seeds and almond shouldn’t be burnt.
  • Also Dry roast desiccated coconut lightly. Let everything cool down.
  • Grind the almond into coarse powder. Take out the almond powder and grind roasted mixed seeds, sesame seeds and desiccated coconut into coarse powder.
  •  In a plate mash khoya or mawa and paneer. I have used homemade mawa and paneer.
  • Mash with your finger tips and heel of your palm. Mash to make the mixture smooth. Add stevia powder and mash again.
  • Heat a pan and add mashed paneer and khoya. Cook the mixture for 2-3 minutes. Stir continuously. Keep the flame low medium. Don’t make the mixture too dry, we have to shape in laddu. Watch video recipe for details.
  • Add all the ground powder and mix well. Add 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder and mix. Remove from heat. Add 1/4 teaspoon more Cardamom powder for flavour.
  • Taste and add dry date powder or more stevia powder if required. I didn’t have stevia powder anymore so used 1 tablespoon dry date powder. If you are using stevia powder use less. 1/8 teaspoon stevia powder is equal to 1 teaspoon sugar. So use accordingly. I have to use 1 teaspoon more dry date powder to make perfectly sweetened. Add these natural sweetener less or more according to your taste.
  • Mash everything well when cool. Spread some roasted sesame seeds on a plate. This step is optional. You can skip if you want.
  • When the mixture becomes smooth make laddu or round ball and roll on roasted sesame seeds. Or you can give any shape of your choice. If your mixture is too dry and you feel difficulty to roll then grease your palm with little oil or ghee or add little milk to make the mixture smooth. I greased my palm to roll the laddu easily. Give the shape as you like. Watch video recipe for details.
  • You can store these sweets in refrigerator for 5-6 days.

Notes

1. You can use only mawa or only paneer if you want to make this healthy sweet.
2. Any dry fruits can be used instead of mixed seeds but don’t forget to lightly dry roast the dry fruits.
